“Caminho e força” (“way and strength”) is the title of Brother Paulo Petry’s latest song in honour of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, lauched during this month of May when the Lasallian Family celebrates the feast of the Universal Patron of Teachers.
“Together and by association we walk in fraternity”, Brother Paulo remarks, recalling that “we walk with Saint John Baptist de La Salle to be close to the children and young people we serve in our educational centres”.
“We want to bring them to Jesus who lives in our hearts; with them we want to live the adventure of the Gospel, because we believe that the utopia of the Kingdom is a possible dream“, adds the Brazilian Lasallian religious.
The song, composed in Portuguese, is part of the album “Precioso dom” (“Precious gift”). The lyrics are written by Marcos Luciano Corsato and the music is composed by Brother Paulo Petry: “Caminando contigo, La Salle siempre está cerquita / Con Jesús en el corazón, hacemos camino”, (“Walking with you, De La Salle is always very close / With Jesus in our hearts, we make our way”), says the chorus.
